SERVICE · EPD (ISO 14025 / EN 15804+A2)

EPDs, built on the right PCR.

We match your product to the PCR, build the EN 15804+A2 / ISO 14025 LCA, and prepare the project report and draft EPD your programme's verifier needs. An independent verifier verifies it, and your programme operator registers and publishes it.

    02 · HOW IT WORKS

From scoping call to a registered EPD, in seven steps.

Steps one to five are ours and yours. Steps six and seven belong to your verifier and your programme operator.

    1. Scoping call.

We agree which EPD programme you are registering with, which PCR applies, and which markets the EPD has to work in.

      Together
    2. Intake: products and documents.

About ten minutes. Choose Environmental Product Declaration as the study type, list your products, and upload the documents you already have.

      You
    3. PCR match.

We match each product to the applicable PCR, or c-PCR, and to the programme your market is likely to expect.

      ClimatePoint
    4. Modelling to EN 15804+A2.

We set the declared unit and model modules A1 to A3, plus the C modules and Module D the PCR requires. Focused follow-up questions go to you, and you can forward any of them to a supplier.

ClimatePoint, with you and your suppliers
    5. Project report and draft EPD.

Our team prepares the LCA project report your verifier reviews, and a draft EPD watermarked DRAFT for the verifier to check.

      ClimatePoint
    6. Independent verification.

A third-party verifier approved by your programme checks the project report and the draft EPD against the PCR, EN 15804+A2 and ISO 14025.

      Your verifier
    7. Registration and publication.

The programme operator (International EPD System, EPD Norge, IBU, or the one your market expects) registers and publishes the verified EPD. We track its registration number, its five-year validity and when re-verification is due.

    03 · WHO DOES WHAT

    Three parties, three jobs.

ClimatePoint does not verify, register or publish EPDs. Keeping those jobs with independent parties is what makes an EPD credible to the people who read it.

    ClimatePoint

Matches the PCR, builds the EN 15804+A2 / ISO 14025 LCA, and prepares the LCA project report and the draft EPD.

    Your verifier

An independent third-party verifier, approved by your programme, verifies the LCA and the EPD against the PCR.

    Your programme operator

Registers the verified EPD, gives it a registration number, and publishes it.

    04 · WHAT YOU NEED

    What to have ready.

    • Product documents: spec sheets, datasheets and drawings for each product.
    • A bill of materials, or spec sheets that give the materials and their weights.
    • Energy and production data for your site: electricity, fuels, water, waste and annual output.

EN 15804+A2 indicators come from licensed ecoinvent datasets and are included on paid (standard-tier) accounts.

    05 · QUESTIONS

    Frequently asked questions

Does ClimatePoint verify or publish EPDs?

No. ClimatePoint matches the PCR, builds the EN 15804+A2 / ISO 14025 LCA, and prepares the LCA project report and a draft EPD. An independent third-party verifier verifies the EPD, and the programme operator, such as the International EPD System, EPD Norge or IBU, registers and publishes it.

    Which PCRs do you support?

We match your product against our PCR index, which groups EPD and PEF product category rules by product family and points to the likely programme. The index is a map to the rules, not a copy of every PCR. We then model to EN 15804+A2 plus the specific rules of the PCR your programme names.

Can I start from an existing LCA?

Yes. Upload the earlier LCA report with your product documents at intake. We use it as a starting point, check it against EN 15804+A2 and the PCR, and ask about anything the PCR requires that the earlier study does not cover, such as modules C1 to C4 or Module D.

Do I need my own ecoinvent licence?

No. EN 15804+A2 indicators come from licensed ecoinvent datasets and are included on paid (standard-tier) ClimatePoint accounts.

    The next step

Bring one product and the market you need the EPD for. We will tell you which PCR and programme apply, what data the model needs from you and your suppliers, and what the project report and draft EPD will cover.
